Albany Office Park Concept III

The proposed 85 700 m2 office development aims to create a sense of locale, populating the green field site with a wide variety of office units, ground floor commercial outlets and public amenity space. The scheme, through design, aims to promote the multi functional sustainable use of land and provide comfortable climate controlled environments.

The six building complex, accommodating a total of 37 000 m2 of office, is linked by a hard and soft landscaped urban park and stitched together using a common vernacular architectural language of modern cladding systems, aluminium louvered screens and glazed curtain walls. The relocation of the car parking to above and below ground floor enables the multi level park, crisscrossed by pedestrian routes, to be colonised by a mixture of restaurants, cafes and retail units that spill out into the open square protected from both wind and sun by the over sailing canopies. Each of the office buildings, diverse in floor plate, height and outlook, can be accessed from both ground and car parking levels directly and due to each building's separate infrastructure can de constructed independently as part of the whole scheme.

Through location and design, the development, affording commanding views to the surrounding area, will serve as a gateway to the expansive development of the City.
