138 Wakefield Street
The hustle-bustle corridor
of pedestrian mobility and thorough fare traffic, Tory Street forms a key North to South
link. Although this is not a primary
commercial route, this narrow street has numerous town houses, boutique shops
and restaurants along with some amazing architecture of distinguishable
character.
The proposed design
utilises the airspace over an existing car ramp, and looks to maintain the appeal
of the quirky urban living that its adjacent neighbors present.
Residents enjoy the views
of the active Tory Street,
whilst quietly lounging in their enclosed loggias. Materials and design stem from the once
industrial region of the lower Courtney
Place precinct.
