Aorangi House
The existing office building was constructed in the seventies and does not meet current office space requirements. A conversion into one and two bedroom apartments is proposed to retain the exiting structure.
An addition on the west side provides extra floor area and opens up the existing building for good light. The fully glazed sun rooms can be opened to the street and provide a new front towards the city.
An extra level on top contains five generous two and three bedroom units with extensive roof decks. The use of floor to ceiling windows opens up these apartments and takes advantage of this prime position above the neighbouring buildings.
A development of four townhouses in a split-level floor arrangement is set in a landscaped 'pocket-park' located to the rear of the existing tower.
