Neuhaus
Neuhaus consists of a mix of 190 apartments within blocks of varying height, and 204 three level townhouses over 5 sites within the newly redeveloped quarry at Mt Wellington.
The design reflects the scale and natural beauty of its surroundings and successfully provides a transition from the Landco town centre, with its higher density of development, to the suburban scale and language of other residential developments.
Inspiration for the project has been drawn from the natural attributes of the landscape, and this has in turn influenced the palette of materials used. Stone or heavily textured walls at street level complimented by sculptured precast concrete elements above are the basis for each apartment block, with individual and specific materials used in each to reinforce each sense of identity.
